Asbestos Management Surveys

An asbestos management survey is the standard sampling asbestos survey. This is legal requirement under the Control of Asbestos Regualtions 2012 for non-domestic premises, which also includes common areas for flats.

Although not a statutory requirement, we advise that that before the purchase of an apartment or house, an asbestos management survey is undertaken to identify and asbestos materials. We will then place a cost for removal of all asbestos identified, and this quote should then be used to attain a price reduction. We typically save our clients £3500.

The asbestos management survey objective is to identify and quantify any asbestos, and ascertain the risk present from the materials. The risk is banded between very low to high, and detailed recommendations on how to manage the material safely, as well as remove, is presented in the asbestos survey report. Asbestos Refurbishment & Demolition Survey

A refurbishment & demolition survey is a fully intrusive inspection assessing all building elements at superficial level (ceilings, walls, floors) and within all building voids (service risers, boxing, and floor/ceiling voids). This is a legal requirement under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and Construction, Design & Management Regulations 2007 before any work can commence on site. It is strongly advised to have the survey undertaken as early as possible in the process, as certain asbestos materials are categorised as licensed by the Health and Safety Executive, this means that before asbestos removal can commence, a 14-day notification period is mandatory alongside formal notification of works.

If asbestos materials are found, we can take care of the asbestos removal for you. Due to our turnkey services we can react quicker as well as have necessary data, which means a faster and cheaper solution. Call our survey hotline on 0208 123 8442 or email [email protected]
